Why do I have a Discord Channel?

Although I have a website, I still need Discord–a tool to bring the community together.

What’s the purpose of Discord? It serves as a means to connect people over text, audio, and video in real-time discussion.

What’s my purpose for my Discord Channel? I am using it (a) to allow members of the community I am growing to have a central area online where they can interact with each other, and (b) use it to host community play days in the future.

At the moment, anything I post on Twitter and YouTube pushes automatically to Discord, but I think I need to stop that. I originally set up those automated pushes because I didn’t have a website–but now I do.

But what would be some good uses of my Discord Channel in the mean time? What tips or tricks do you have for me to help me utilize this tool?
